I love the light in this so, so much, and the use of color.

A mostly photo blog of the work of Stephen Harmon, a Louisville, Kentucky area photojournalist. I am his wife and these are my thoughts on some of his work. Visit Steve's NEW website at http://www.harmonweddings.com

Huber's, in Floyds Knobs, Indiana. (Technically Starlight, I think.)
“But the Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.”
Galatians 5:22-23
Is this guy a groomsman, or what? Talk about going out of his way.
I hope he got a round of applause.
I love gentlemen.
How's the wedding planning going, ladies?
This one is one of my favorites. It not only captures the bride, elegant and lovely, but also her friends, all getting ready. The atmosphere is light and fun, and the composition and use of sepia add to the timelessness of the photo. This will be treasured for years to come!
This was the daughter of the bride (I think), and isn't she adorable on the dancefloor? I love the way Steve caught her as the lights cast her gorgeous dress into the blue.
Reminds me of that Moby song, Into the Blue.
A couple of people asked me yesterday where this picture was taken. It was at the Farnsley-Moreman Landing, and I believe it was in August! It was a hot, hot day, but you know...down by the river, it was awesome. Just perfect. We had a ball at this wedding.
Enjoy, you crazy August brides! Louisville, Kentucky might be baking hot, but you can find places that are comfortable--and look at those colors!!!
You know, I have always loved this photo of Tara & Steve at their wedding. To me, it says so much about the couple. Happy, carefree, easy with one another. Lovely.
This reception was at 300 Spring. I believe the wedding was there, as well.
In this photo, Steve has used a very dry sepia mask, and brought back the bride and groom, as well as a little color from the dancefloor lights, to create this effect. I think it works. I really like the movement in the photo.
